About
Tanya Lichinsky is a classically trained artist whose work is shaped by a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and design.
Born in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Ukraine, and raised in Kishinev (Chișinău), Moldova, Tanya studied painting, life drawing, still life, sculpture, and art history at Repin’s School of Fine Art. Her appreciation for architecture and design also led her to earn a degree in civic construction and engineering.
Seeking greater opportunity and stability, Tanya and her husband immigrated to the United States, where she continued her artistic education by earning an Associate degree in Commercial Art from Des Moines Area Community College.
Tanya has worked professionally in illustration, murals, faux finishing, portraiture, and decorative painting. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive artistic voice through both industry experience and independent commissions.
Working in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pencil, Tanya finds inspiration everywhere—from the beauty of everyday life to unexpected shapes, textures, and moments that spark her imagination.
For Tanya, creating art is more than a profession; it is a lifelong necessity and a way to share her perspective with others through meaningful, one-of-a-kind work.
